Not long ago there was a post by Mike Drew where he'd taken a mutual friends Pantera for an alignment after installing a rebuilt steering rack. The outcome was that the new-fangled commercial alignment machines that clamp onto the tire don't work on a Pantera due to the tire to fender clearance. Most of the new alignment systems I saw on display at SEMA were of a very similar design, so either the industry is not catering for sports cars or we'll be forced to find more 'specialist' shops at presumably higher prices as those shops have had to make a more significant investment in the equipment.
The Gyraline system is new to market and I must admit I have not personally tried it yet, but seems intriguing with the simplicity of using our ever-complex smart phones. I have used inclination apps to setup equipment at work and they have worked well, so see no reason this new app-based alignment would not work and it isn't significantly different to a current camber gauge I own where it measures the difference when flipped 180 degrees, rather than relying on needing a true horizontal or vertical plane.
The Gyraline phone holder looks a little cheesy and of 3D home printed quality, but that could be solved easily to incorporate a gauge that is adjustable across the full rim width for greater accuracy. I have string setups, a set of older toes gauges and a camber / caster gauge, but the simplicity of using one's phone to check alignment anywhere on the go is very attractive. I intend to get one and verify against my trusted method and see how accurate we can get.
