Bruce, $30-40k buys you a complete basket case that has significant rust, in fact I don't recall having seen a $30k Pantera for some years. Transaxles are changing hands in the $20k range alone now. Take some time to search Bring a Trailer sales, scour the web and Facebook to see what's trading in the $40-70k range. If 4748 is complete apart from the clutch and transaxle install, you'd be better paying a mechanic (or enlisting a local Pantera crew) to fix it and get it drivable, then it's easily a $70k car. The front hood can be reskinned, rear decklids come up for sale regularly or fiberglass / carbon fiber are available for both. Yes, the louvers will turn off some that can't see past them, but otherwise if looks a very decent car in the photos on Provamo. You say it’s ‘disassembled’ but you are only referring to the gearbox and clutch, right? You don’t mean there’s a door over here and a windshield over there and brakes in the attic and seats under the house, etc? If it’s truly scattered, maybe $50k. If it’s together apart from the clutch stuff, then much more. But yes, the louvers, wing and wheels all hurt the value…. Mike Sent from my iPhone

I'm selling #4748 to someone local, nice guy, and I'd like to give him the car.
He's a mechanic for a local township and will be able to do work himself. Question is how much if fair...
* Car is complete but disassembled * Was doing a clutch replacement and effort stalled 14 years... * Before that car was working great except slipping clutch * Its been heavily customized with lots of louvers and many many upgrades all done in California and professionally * Now, I'm being told that because of all the alterations the car is not worth much because it probably can never be restored to original * Price will include new clutch I bought from Colorado guy years ago with help of this forum to find, (almost $1k)
I'm thinking between $30k and 40K, is that about right?
I know U guys are very familiar with the car, this is on PROVOMO for reference
Thanks in advance
Bruce
