
Back to this. Hall's fabricator, Dave, worked with me to make the tank fit better. I can just barely attach the bottom of the strap that holds the tank in. I thought it was good and did a test fit of the engine. Based on Richard photo of the bottom shield bracket, it looked OK. The headers are just touching the stainless shield, I can push on the shield and get about an 1/8 inch gap (see photo). I have what I believe are Mind Train headers. Has anyone had clearance issues with headers and the stainless shield?
