This was a narrow body car that got turned into a GT5 and lived that way until Mike tried to drive over a bridge that was narrower than the car! It was repaired and restored to GT/4 spec. His wiper motor packed in on Monday when he and Mary were ready to leave for the ferry with rain falling. The original plan was to tie string to the wipers and run one string inside each window and operate them manually! But cooler heads prevailed. While I was sat inside chatting with Phil Stebbings, Julian Kift dismantled the wiper motor and found it in excellent shape apart from being completely devoid of grease in the bottom bearing. A dab of grease and a shot of WD-40 later and Mike and Mary were back in the wiper business! Sent from my iPad
