Matt - It's not just you. I'm not 100% sure on the details but gmail displays the digest format in raw text. Some list members use smart email tools that allow formatting text that under the covers essentially duplicates the contents of the email. When the list members just add a couple lines of text to the top of a long post that gets duplicated things get out of control quick. Multiple responses in one chain (duplicated) turns into a real pain in the ass. Anyone that is still reading they can see this post as an example: http://server.detomasolist.com/pipermail/detomaso/2016-July/092509.html The most recent three responses are 2-3 lines each, but each of those responses are really almost 2000 lines each. Back to back to back that turns into a mess in the digest. The 8 posts sent on July 6 (July 7 Digest) are almost 20,000 lines. Uggh! What can we do about it? Probably nothing. If responders just add text without editing what they are responding to then we just get stuck with the clutter. Depending on the mail client it's not obvious what is being sent. No one is going to edit dozens or hundreds of lines out of an included email on a phone. More campground cars:

Jan's factory Gr3 race Pantera he found and basically stole in England, which he converted for street use: And Kjetil's supercharged 4.6L Pantera: And then the phone died.... Last night Charlie and much of the gang hung out in the campsite until the wee hours. We returned for a brief shower around 1 am (no lines) then took Fred and Nancy Phillips to the Arnage corner. We watched racing with them there until 430 am then came back to the tent; they stayed until about 7 then drove to their hotel and collapsed! We woke up around 9 and spent the rest of the day at the track. The fast white Pantera in Plateau 6 pitted partway through its run in the middle of the night last night. and never returned. Broken. Today the silver Pantera limped around and pitted three or four times, never actually completing a lap, then also disappeared, broken. :( Fun day though. Most people left relatively early in the day and only a handful of us remained to roam the track; I think only we, and Kjetil and Lisa were there at 4 pm when the checkered flag waved. We broke camp quickly (we didn't actually pack, we literally just threw our tent sleeping bags etc in the car and drove off--organization will come later) and Kjetil's truck was still there. We drove an hour north to a remote little village where the Brits have a delightful little hotel with only 15 rooms. Most of the Brits took off this morning so many of us from the tour are spending one final night here together. Kjetil will be here soon too. Taking a proper bath was a very good thing indeed. Now heading downstairs for drinks on the patio by the duckpond.... Great times in France. Hats off to Charlie for once again doing a superb job of ensuring we had a great time for the whole week. Actually a mob of young friends from Spain drove up Thursday and camped with us, so he took on a completely new challenge of taking care of them all weekend too! What a guy.... New electrical Wiring systems for a street and a race Pantera ???

Hi all, Did anyone experience the new wiring harnesses from Painless Performance ? Any other solution ? I need a complete electric wiring system for a French friend of mine ( for a street car ) , and despite seeing some opportunities, I haven't able to get one at a decent price, but I also need one for me , for a GR4 replica that I am building for the moment. The one for the race car doesn't need to be as "sophisticated" as the one for a standard, mostly original street car. Thanks to some hard work I have all-access passes so we are right now on the front straight right under the Rolex clock, literally inches from the track: Ran into a 20-year friend, Andy Prill, one of the world's foremost vintage Porsche specialists. He's having a great time as you can see! Here he is hopping into a Porsche 3.0RS, winner of the '78 euro championship: When along came Chris McAllister, two-time winner of this event. He is driving a Gulf Mirage. His son Alex is to his left; Alex is Gray's co-driver in the Chevron. Chris is Good People, and has a Mangusta among a host of other cars: This race just got red flagged due to a crash. Unusual to see that here... Mike Sent from my iPhone

Cars and Coffee this morning. 3 Panteras and a Goose!

OK, this may seem a funny title to you West Coasters, but getting everybody's schedule to align such that 4 of our cars can be at the same place is a little harder down here. I hear it has something to do with Bermuda. The Local Jacksonville C&C had an American Muscle Car theme on the upper level and the event organizer wanted us to be with them because, in his words, "You guys have a good story". Two other Panteras could not make it, but Steve Duba, Brad Freemen, and I brought ours. Kate and Dan brought their Quavle Mangusta which got about as much attention as the Panteras combined. Out of protest, Brad is blocking the Goose in the photo below :) It has been triple digit brutal in N. Florida this week. Steve and Brad both finished up their caliper rebuilds yesterday to make it to the event. I got there early and grabbed a spot that gave us shade for the first 90 minutes. There were maybe 130 cars total from a Ferrari 488 down to a beautifully modernized '52 VW Bug. The sun came up in full force at 9:30 AM and cars started leaving. We all pulled out together about 10 AM. Great car day with great car people. It does not get any better.
